Terry Pratchett was one of the authors who made me want to be an author. I was 100% completely obsessed with the Discworld books as a kid (as should you be, by the way), and wanted to go be a Guard in Ankh Morpork with Carrot and Angua, or a witch on the Chalk with Tiffany Aching.

So I was beyond proud (and slightly overwhelmed) to be asked to take part in Puffin’s Terry Pratchett Virtually Live event last month. I got to be on set with Terry’s best friend Rob and Ed Petrie off of the telly, and talk about what makes Terry’s writing so magical and special.

We even got to meet some Nac Mac Feegles!

The show is now available to view here on the Puffin site – I really hope you like it, and I hope you’ll check out Terry’s books. The one we talk about is The Wee Free Men, which has been newly illustrated by my super-talented friend Laura Ellen Anderson. It’s a great way into the Discworld, and its heroine Tiffany is one of my favourite book characters ever.
