I love going to literary festivals – I always meet so many interesting people, and it’s an honour to talk to the fans who come to my sessions. Usually, though, I visit festivals in the UK and Ireland – so it’s incredible to travel to other countries and realise that there are Detective Society members there as well!

I was part of four events at Dubai Lit Fest this year, and they were all incredible. I feel lucky to have been able to speak to so many school groups and festival attendees about my books, writing and Authors 4 Oceans – being part of the Detective Society is all about being kind, thoughtful, questioning and brave, and I hope I’ve been able to spread that message as far as possible!

Thank you to everyone who came to my events, thanks to my fellow panellists and a huge thank you to the festival staff and volunteers who made everything run so smoothly. I had a great time, and I’m so glad I was able to come!
