BAMB Awards 2017

As you may know, The Guggenheim Mystery was shortlisted for the BAMB Readers Awards this year.

The ceremony was last night, and I had a wonderful time. All of the other authors shortlisted in the children’s category are lovely people – in case you were wondering: yes, children’s authors do all hang out together, and yes, we are all really friends!

Maz Evans, Emma Carroll, me, Peter Bunzl and Katherine Rundell, shortlist buddies!

Emma Carroll’s amazing Letters from the Lighthouse won our category – I would have loved The Guggenheim Mystery to win, of course, but I am delighted that my friend’s book won!

So huge congratulations to Emma – I’m so pleased for her, and Letters from the Lighthouse is fantastic!
