This week I had a very exciting delivery – the very first copy of Top Marks for Murder!
It’s beautifully shiny and coral – it’s got gold foil, and gorgeous coral sprayed edges (sprayed edges are what it’s called when the edges of the pages of a book are painted a colour, instead of being left the normal white of the paper) – and I’m completely in love with it. The other copies are being printed now, all ready to be sent into stores in the UK and Ireland on 8th August. If you want to see what the sprayed edges look like, just head here.

… but that’s not all. Because to go with Top Marks For Murder‘s beautiful gold foil and coral sprayed edges, Puffin are going to release ANOTHER book on 8th August: a new version of the Murder Most Unladylike paperback with … you guessed it, silver foil and blue sprayed edges.

Don’t they look beautiful together! I love them so much. If you want to see what the sides of the books look like together, just go here. As far as I know, Murder Most Unladylike is the only book that’s being given this new treatment at the moment … but if this new edition sells well, who knows what might happen next?
Top Marks for Murder is publishing on the 8th of August 2019 in the UK and Ireland. You can pre-order it from lots of bookstores and websites – Amazon, Blackwell’s, Eason’s, Foyle’s, Waterstones, WH Smith’s and your local independent bookstore. It will publish in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong and other countries a few weeks later (I can’t tell you exactly when – but check your local bookstore for a date).
Less than two months to go now … Daisy and Hazel’s eighth murder mystery is almost here!
