MMU7-colour-reveal-...

It’s a wonderful year of good news for Daisy and Hazel! A Spoonful of Murder is out now … and the Detective Society’s next adventure is coming on the 4th of October!

I can’t tell you what it’s going to be called yet, but what I CAN do is share its cover colour with you. I’m delighted to say that it’s going to be …

LILAC!

Did you guess it? When I spoke to fans about this cover, lots of them thought it might be pink, but a few clever people said purple! I absolutely LOVE this colour – it’s so pretty and it’s going to look great with all of the others. It’ll be illustrated by the wonderful Nina Tara, who does the covers for all of my MMU books.

Now, I can’t tell you what it’ll be called (although I do know, and I love it too!), but I can tell you a bit more about the plot. From the official description:

Someone is about to take their final bow . . .

Fresh from their adventures in Hong Kong, Hazel Wong and Daisy Wells return to England. But they’re not going straight back to school – first they’re staying with Daisy’s uncle Felix in his London flat. But when London life gets a bit too exciting, the girls are packed off to the Rue Theatre to face an entirely new challenge: acting. They’re going to star in a production of Romeo and Juliet – what could possibly go wrong?

But adventure has a nasty habit of catching up with the Detective Society, and it soon becomes clear there is trouble afoot at the Rue. Jealousy, threats and horrible pranks quickly spiral out of control – and then a body is found. Now Hazel and Daisy must take centre stage and solve the crime . . . before the murderer strikes again.

Book 7 is going to be available in stores in the UK and Ireland on the 4th of October 2018, and you can pre-order it NOW from Amazon and Waterstones. I’m just finishing up edits on the second draft of it, and I can promise you that you’ll see lots of Hazel’s newfound confidence, the return of a favourite adult investigator and a rival detective society, and plenty of romance …
