If you want to read a scary, adventurous, magical book this Halloween, I recommend Wundersmith by Jessica Townsend, the second in her series about Morrigan Crow. Morrigan discovers she’s part of a magical secret society in a marvellous hidden world – but also realises that her powers might be dark enough to bring that whole world crashing down … It’s brilliantly inventive and exciting, a great read that will have you gripped!
And if you want to bake the perfect bunbreak to go with your choice of reading, then here’s a classic Detective Society recipe for spooky squashed fly biscuits.
