DEATH IN THE SPOTLIGHT!

I adore this title, and I love that you helped me create it – it came from conversations I had at my Imagine Festival event in spring 2018, so if you were there, this is your title!

And below is the cover in all of its glory! It’s illustrated by Nina Tara and designed by Dominica Clements at my publisher Puffin. I love the spotlight across it – it makes it stand out so beautifully from the other covers in the Murder Most Unladylike series.

Death in the Spotlight will be published in the UK and Ireland on the 4th of October 2018, and you can pre-order it now from Waterstones, Amazon, Foyles (which features in the story!) and Blackwell’s, as well as your local independent bookstore.

I love this story, and I’m so excited for you to read it. I can promise you that it will contain:

  • Murder
  • Romeo and Juliet
  • The Junior Pinkertons
  • Quite a lot of romance
  • My favourite parts of London
  • Uncle Felix
  • And one more old Detective Society ally!

Oh, and there’s just ONE more thing.

If you pre-order Death in the Spotlight through Waterstones, you can enter a very SPECIAL competition. One lucky winner (picked by Waterstones, not me!) will get the chance to name a character in my next book. You can choose any name – your best friend’s, your favourite person’s or your own. Lots of people ask me to put their names in a book, and I always tell them that I can’t promise anything … but this time, for one person, I can!

The countdown to 4th October has begun in earnest …
