I’m judging the Puffin Big Dreamers writing competition!

May 20, 2020

As part of Puffin’s Big Dreams birthday celebration, they’re running a 300-word writing competition for young authors in partnership with National Book Tokens – and I’m one of the judges!

Along with Yassmin Abdel-Magied, I’ll be judging the 11-14 year old category, and there are also categories for 6-10 year old and 15-18 year old authors.

To find out more, head to the National Book Tokens website before the 28th May to take part.

Please note:

  • This isn’t my competition! I can’t accept emails to my account, or comments here, as entries. You have to enter on the National Book Tokens website using the form they provide.
  • I also can’t help you in any way with your entries, and I can’t give you any guidelines beyond what the National Book Tokens website says, as I didn’t create the competition.
  • This has nothing to do with my Monday Writing prompts, which will be continuing as normal.
  • The terms and conditions on the National Book Tokens website are final – if for some reason you don’t meet the criteria, I’m so sorry, but there’s nothing I can do to help.
