Hello Detectives! I hope you’ve been taking care of yourselves this week, wherever you are in the world. This is a difficult time, and it’s already changed a lot of lives. I want you all to stay safe, stay sensible and remember to work even harder than you usually do to be kind to the people around you. This virus is not anyone’s fault, and so blaming a group of people for it, or getting upset at staff working so hard to keep shops and services running as normally as possible, isn’t the right response.
It’s important we keep focusing on good things as well as worrying ones – it’s exhausting to be upset all the time, humans weren’t built for that, so you should still let yourself have fun and laugh at small things.
I thought I’d share some of the wonderful World Book Day 2020 costumes that you’ve been sending me over the past few weeks – I didn’t get the chance to post them earlier, but I think now might be the perfect time to put them up.
I’m currently working on ways to connect with you all and help you pass the time – it’s likely I’ll be holding some online events, and sharing writing prompts, but I’ll be able to give you more details next week. Keep checking this website! If you’d like some worksheets to help pass the time, I have an activity page here. Look after yourselves, and Detective Society Forever!
