Cream Buns and Crime in Newcastle!

Newcastle Cramlington

I had a very exciting time last week – I did a lightning-fast tour of Newcastle, visiting four schools and one bookshop in two whirlwind days!

Luckily, the weather was absolutely gorgeous …

Below are some of my favourite pictures from my trip. Everyone I met, booksellers, teachers, librarians and fans, were brilliant, kind, fun and helpful. If you were part of the tour, thank you so much. I couldn’t have wished for a better two days!

My first stop, to Chantry and Newminster Middle Schools, where the kids seem to have uniforms that are straight out of Harry Potter!
Eileen, the fantastic librarian at Cramlington Learning Village, put on the most incredible display …
… and she let me sign my books in a biome!
With the girls at Newcastle School for Girls – it reminded me so much of my own school, and of Deepdean!
Happy faces after four amazing school events – here I am with Mariana from Blackwell’s Newcastle, who organised everything!
Adele and the rest of the lovely staff at Newcastle Waterstones organised an amazing signing for me!
… and here I am at the end of it. One very happy, very tired author!
